Touring the town.

DAY 7

We had a very eventful day today. We did not get to feed Sean this visit. The caregivers said that he was crying so they were feeding him when we arrived. When they gave him to us there was not any food to be found on his face. I do not know how they do it. We took him for a walk outside today and for the first time we did not have to completely bundle him up. He absolutely loves to be outside. He just looks around at everything. It is getting easier by the day to make him smile but today we had a first. Papa was pretending he was eating Sean’s belly and he just could not stop laughing. Mama had tears in her eyes watching the two boys play. The picture shows it all. We are so thankful to have found such a wonderful, good little boy.

After our visit we went to a place called Bon Appetite for lunch. It was delicious. Deb found two things that she loves that they made into one meal. Pizza & Pickles. I know it does not sound very good but it was awesome.

Then we were off for our tour of Karaganda. Olga showed us many different monuments, churches, and various different buildings. We also went to a place called Independence Park. This is where Jay decided he was going to launch a missile, doing it the way that he knows best. He didn’t even need someone to pull his finger. The Russian Orthodox Church that we went to was beautiful. Deb had a lady come up to her and wrap here up in a skirt and a scarf around her head. It is not tradition to have women inside the church in shorts. You can’t take us anywhere.

Please continue to comment on our blog or to e-mail us as we really look forward to hearing from all of you. We can’t wait to bring Sean home to meet all of you. We know that you will fall in love with him as much as we have.
