Hump Day

DAY 10

Deb’s allergies were getting pretty bad again and she was beginning to cough at night. So we felt like it was time to try and find some antibiotics here in Kazakhstan. With the assistance of Scott, Olga was able to find one of the brands. She got a 10 pack of 250mg antibiotics for 70 tenge. We were flabbergasted folks. That comes out to being ooooh, about $.60. Yes, it is completely unbelievable.
When we arrived today, Sean was already up. His caregiver told our translator that he is waiting for us. We think that it becomes frustrating for them when the children get used to having so much attention by their parents that they begin to fuss for their caregivers. He hardly slept in the afternoon so he was a tiny bit fussy. He is everyday more and more happy to see us. Seeing a smile on his face is becoming a little more permanent. We are also hearing much more laughter from him.
We forgot to mention that we taught him how to blow bubbles. After we taught him that, we knew it would be a mistake at the feeding table, and sure enough we were right. When his Mama was feeding him today, he was blowing bubbles and the juice was going everywhere. Now we were surprised at the amount of food that these babies eat, but today it was ridiculous. They filled an entire bowl to the rim with porridge, and if you haven’t guessed he ate it all. He has an appetite like his Papa.
Uncle Jason, Don’t you worry about Uncle Scott. When he takes little Sean out for walks to the park he will be a chic magnet. He will help find a hottie for his uncle.
Pat, give the girls hugs and kisses for us and rest assured that we are looking for a mail order bride for you. You will have to trust our judgment though because we are not sending you pictures. They do not allow referrals in Kazakhstan.

Your son is sooo cute! Congratulations on becoming parents! I was reading your comment about the caregivers being annoyed after the children get so much attention. I imagine it is true. Soon enough he will be with you permanently and the baby house will be a distant memory :-)
