Homeward Bound!!!!!!

Today is our last day in Kazakhstan. We are a little bit sad, as we will always hold in our hearts a love for the place that gave us the love of our lives. However, we are really excited to be going home to start our lives together as a family. We were hoping that we would get out today for a ride up to the mountains and some sightseeing but the weather is not cooperating. It isn’t raining but it is extremely foggy. We did venture out to the shopping mall to pick up a few last minute things and for a quick bite to eat.

When we got back from our walk, we put Sean down for a nap and began to pack. We will be leaving for the airport at about 2:30am and because that will be rolling around before we know it, we want as little to do as possible in the morning. We will have just a few things to pack in the morning after we shower, but that will take no time at all.

Sean is feeling so much better today and boy are we relieved. We had him on the floor this morning playing with his toys and it was so cute to watch. He was scooting around playing with the different toys, he was talking, and he was laughing. We don’t know what was so funny other than the fact that he is so adorable. We feel much more comfortable for the flight home now that he is feeling better. It is going to be a long enough trip as it is, and if he was sick you could multiply it by 1000. It was a long couple of days while he was sick. He was testing our parental skills and we think we might have passed.

This will be our last post while we are here in Almaty. We will be arriving at O’Hare on Friday at around 3:00pm. We will post a few times when we get home and adjusted to let you know how we are doing. Thanks for all of your love and support. It is very much appreciated.
