Still NO Court Date!

DAY 22

It looks as though we are going to have to extend our stay here in Karaganda. We have still not heard any news about when our court date is. Our flight was scheduled to leave Kazakhstan on Friday the 8th. There is no possible way that our court date would be before than.

It was another beautiful day out and we were able to take a walk in both the morning and afternoon visitation. It was special because the doctor is allowing Carmel to bring a different baby out each time we go out. Both Losha and Olyia went out today and they loved it. Hopefully the weather will continue to be nice and each of the babies will get a chance to go out. Yesterday a new baby was brought into Sean & Molly’s group. He is really having a hard time adjusting. The parents left him at the hospital and after awhile when they realized that the parents were not coming back, they brought him to the Baby House. Hopefully, his parents will either come and get him or will sign their rights over so he may be adopted.

The antibiotics must have kicked in because Sean is feeling so much better. He has really progressed since we had first met him. He was moving around everywhere and just thought that everything was funny. He is so much fun to be around. He learned a new little trick today. He was smacking his Mama’s hand over and over again. He was so proud of himself for accomplishing this. He smiled and laughed the entire time he was giving his Mama 5. He ate like such a big boy for his Papa. He ate a mixture of the meat and potatoes & porridge. We just crack up every time he finishes his enormous bowl of food. It is just completely amazing.

While we were out for a stroll we were discussing all of the very many things that both Sean and Molly Zahara are going to encounter. We decided that we(Deb, Jeremy & Mary Ann) are very lucky to have each other. It is so wonderful that they will be so close to each other, and hopefully will be long term friends.
